August proved to be an awesome fishing month here on the North East side of Eagle Lake.Weather for the most part co-operated in our favor. Walleye fishing stayed strong and consistant.By the 3rd week of August they were moving all over and the depths changed daily. Last week - most of the walleye caught were down around Meridian.Perch fishing was really good as well.
August was all about Musky fishing though. We had at least 4 fish over 50" boated during August. I lost track of the number of fish being seen.It was just an awesome month.
September started off on the right foot. Jeremy Curran's group from St.Cloud boated 2 nice 40+ inch Musky before they left yesterday morning.Early morning is proving to be a good time to get out and fish.
West Texas Sportsman Show came up for a week and filmed a succesful bear hunt and boated 2 musky for their upcoming shows.Great footage of walleye fishing and shorelunch will be included as well. Thanks to Rod Phillips and Ross Garrett for what I am sure will be a job well done.
