Walleye opener is next Saturday, May 15th. Ice is long gone and spring has sprung.We had an early spring and a nice blast of warm temps. However they have dropped back to more normal temps and we had a dusting of snow last night and they are calling for flurries tomorrow as well. This is hold the lake temps to a normal degree for spring. Lake is lower than usual and even with the recent precipitation the level did not come up substantially. Fire ban has been lifted for now. If you are a returning angler to Ontario, make sure you bring the plastic Outdoor card you were issued after you applied. If you did not get one and applied, contact your outfitter with your name and DOB and they can contact the MNR and check the status of your card. Countdown is on for the start of the 2010 season...BRING IT!!
